SUNY Potsdam

Founded in 1816, The State University of New York at Potsdam is one of America’s first 50 colleges. At SUNY Potsdam, students are encouraged to pursue their passions in a close-knit, eclectic campus environment.

SUNY Potsdam prides itself on being a creative campus, offering a top-rated arts environment and state-of-the-art performing facilities. We are also home to The Crane School of Music, one of the best public music programs in the country. Our programs in teacher education also have a long and distinguished history, dating back more than 200 years to the College’s founding.

Nearly half of SUNY Potsdam students complete degrees in the sciences, social sciences or mathematics. Our science programs are incredibly hands-on, giving students opportunities to test their skills in the lab or field. Potsdam also has popular programs in business administration, public health and human performance.
